Who are we ? – FLIP – Festival Ludique International de Parthenay

The Festival Ludique International de Parthenay (FLIP), also known as the Parthenay Games Festival, is one of the leading events on the gaming scene. Founded in 1986 in Parthenay in the department of Deux-Sèvres, it takes place every year during the first two weeks of July.

FLIP is organised and funded by the Parthenay-Gâtine Community of Municipalities and led by its games department.

200,000 visiting players

Each year, FLIP attracts an average of 200,000 people over the twelve days of the event.

It is one of the largest gaming gatherings in the world, alongside Spiel Essen in Germany and the International Games Festival in Cannes.

The festival is recognised and highly regarded by industry professionals. Each year, large numbers compete for the FLIP awards:

FLIP brings together around 350 partners, including 130 specialist publishers and 170 designers.

The Community of Municipalities has made a firm commitment to keep the event free of charge, so that the festival remains accessible and open to everyone.
